Welcome
The Colchester Choir & Orchestra is open to all music lovers and is a Parks and Recreation program offered through the Town of Colchester, Connecticut. Started by conductor John Ringo and his wife Cheryl, our first season was 2001-2002, and we have members from towns all over Connecticut. With members ranging in age from 10 to 70, from students to professional music teachers, the CCO is a true community group!
We perform a wide variety of music, from classical pieces such as Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, to Pops pieces such as Harry Potter, present day show stopping hits from Phantom of the Opera, and much more.
If you are planning an event, booking the CCO as your musical entertainment will make it an affair to remember!

Our 2024-2025 season has been announced!
December 7, 2024, 6:30 pm at Colchester Federated Church. Holiday Homecoming Concert in conjunction with the town of Colchester’s annual Holiday Homecoming. This is a free family event sponsored by Colchester Parks and Recreation that attracts hundreds of people to the town green.
March 23, 2025, 3:00 pm at Bacon Academy with classical pieces and guest cellist Sam DeCaprio playing Kol Nidre with the orchestra.
May 31, 2025, 6:30 pm at Bacon Academy will be a fun concert with popular songs from movies.

We rehearse on Thursday evenings, at the Bacon Academy High School in Colchester, CT unless otherwise specified.
