Rehearsal Information
Rehearsals are at Bacon Academy High School, 611 Norwich Ave, Colchester CT unless otherwise announced.
Choir rehearses 6:00 - 7:30 PM in the choir room, Orchestra rehearses 7:30 - 9:00 PM in the band room, though the band room is open from 7 PM for musicians to unpack and warm up. Please pre-register online in advance.
No rehearsal on the following dates: Open houses, holidays, school vacation (when the school is closed, we do not have rehearsal).
Concerts
All concerts will be held at the Bacon Academy High School Auditorium unless otherwise noted. The 2023-2024 season's planned concerts include:
Holiday Homecoming 2023 - Saturday December 2, 2023 6:30 p.m. at the Colchester Federated Church
Sunday March 10, 2024 3 p.m. at Bacon Academy
Saturday May 18, 2024 6:30 p.m. at Bacon Academy
Other Important Information:
Recruit, recruit, recruit!!!!! We need singers and musicians in every section!
If you have friends or family who might be interested in our group, please pass this message along. The choir especially needs tenor and bass voices. This is an amateur community group, that sings a variety of music types - popular, classical, folk, sacred, Broadway. We take adult voices; high school students are welcome. The orchestra rehearses on Thursday nights, 7:30 pm to 9 pm. Please show up a bit early to warm up; we will start playing at 7:30.
Additional Information
Annual dues are $35 for adults, $15 for students, and help fund our new music and costs to hold concerts. The Membership form and dues payment is now online.
Keep the orchestra in mind as you make your way around Connecticut, particularly if you are involved in musical activities. We are particularly in need of string players, French Horn players, percussionists, and a bassoonist. All others are, of course, always welcome.

Colchester Choir & Orchestra Scholarship
The CCO scholarship application is available for this year's high school seniors who have been members with us for two or more years, participating in at least 3/4 of our concerts over the last two years.
